PlayStation Plus Adds a Range of Exciting Titles for July

PlayStation has announced a variety of games coming to PS Plus this month, with one standout title, Cyberpunk 2077, now available for free. This announcement is part of the ongoing PlayStation Plus 15th anniversary celebration, which continues to offer exciting content for members.

Free Games for July

This month, ten games are being added to the PS Plus library. While some games are exclusive to Premium members, others are available on both PS4 and PS5. It’s important to note that if you only have a PS Plus Essential subscription, some of these titles may not be accessible. However, there are three free games available to all PS Plus members this month.

Cyberpunk 2077

For those who haven’t played Cyberpunk 2077 since its 2020 launch, now is an excellent time to revisit the game. Despite its infamous initial release, the game has made a remarkable recovery, even earning a Game Award win in 2023 for its Phantom Liberty DLC. Cyberpunk 2077 is available for free for PS Plus Extra and Premium members today on both PS5 and PS4.

Abiotic Factor

Abiotic Factor is a co-op survival crafting game set in a chaotic, violent sci-fi world. It has been available in Early Access on Steam since May 2024 but will reach version 1.0 this month. The game has received overwhelmingly positive reviews, with 96% of over twenty-three thousand reviews being positive. Abiotic Factor will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members on PS5 starting July 22nd, and it will also feature crossplay between Steam, PS5, and Xbox.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Developed by Don’t Nod, the creators of Life is Strange and Jusant, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a heartfelt action-adventure game. It launched early last year to praise from critics and fans. The game follows two ghost hunters exploring the haunted wilds of North America in 1695. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members on PS5 starting July 15th.

Risk of Rain 2

Risk of Rain 2, the sequel to the smash-hit roguelike, was released in 2020. It offers fun co-op gameplay as players progress through various biomes, fighting off increasingly challenging hordes of alien creatures. Risk of Rain 2 will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members on PS4 and PS5 starting July 15th.

New World: Aeternum

Amazon Games’ MMORPG, New World: Aeternum, arrived on consoles late last year after being available on PC for several years. This month, it will be available for free for PS Plus Extra and Premium members. For those who haven’t tried it yet, July 15th is an excellent opportunity to experience the supernatural island full of strange inhabitants, ruins, and horrors.

Bluey: The Videogame

Bluey: The Videogame offers a different vibe and is suitable for a younger audience. It features a brand new story with the same beloved characters across four interactive adventures. The game includes simple challenges such as platforming and keeping a ball airborne. It is the only game on this list that features local multiplayer, making it a great choice for gathering friends and family to play together. Bluey: The Videogame will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members on PS4 and PS5 starting July 15th.

Planet Zoo

Planet Zoo is a simulation game that allows players to create and manage a zoo with authentic living animals. It launched on consoles last spring but has been available on PC since 2019. Planet Zoo will be available for free to PS Plus Extra and Premium members on July 15th for PS5.

Tropico 6

Tropico 6 is a city-builder strategy game that allows players to decide how to represent El Presidente throughout four distinct eras on the island archipelago of Tropico. Players can choose to be a feared dictator or a peace-loving statesman. Tropico 6 will be available for free to PS Plus Extra and Premium members on July 15th, available on both PS4 and PS5.

Twisted Metal 3 & 4

Two classic vehicular combat games starring Sweet Tooth will be available later this month, but only to PS Plus Premium members starting on July 15th. These games, released before the year 2000, are a great way for fans of the series to enjoy something new, especially with the premiere of Twisted Metal season two on July 31st.
