Putin received report on alleged completion of operation to liberate Kursk Oblast – map

The Kremlin chief, Vladimir Putin, was presented with a report stating that the final stronghold in Russia’s Kursk Oblast, the town of Gornal, was “freed from the Ukrainian Armed Forces” on April 26th.

Details: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Gerasimov reported to Putin "on the completion of the operation to liberate Kursk Oblast from Ukrainian neo-Nazis".

"The complete defeat of the enemy in Kursk Oblast bordering [Ukraine] brings the defeat of the neo-Nazi regime closer," Putin said.

Details: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that as of the morning of April 26, Ukrainian forces have control over a significant portion of Kursk Oblast.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that their defense forces are successfully preventing Russian advances in Kursk Oblast. Over this particular frontline, Russia conducted 28 airstrikes, deploying 37 precision-guided aerial munitions and executing 370 assaults, with 9 of these coming from multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS). The Ukrainian soldiers thwarted 30 offensive maneuvers initiated by the Russians.
