Short of The Undertaker, WWE does not have a strong history with the supernatural despite it being the best-suited company for that type of sports-entertainment shtick.

Bray Wyatt is probably as close as WWE has come to getting it right in the 21st century , but the company blew it with him on two occasions. The cult leader version of Bray was perhaps his best, but losing high-profile matches regularly made his charismatic words feel hollow after a while. The Fiend was a great reinvention for Wyatt, but it needed some careful booking to have long-term success, which 2019 WWE certainly could not offer.

To be honest, The Wyatt Sicks has not done anything as creative or captivating since it formed last year, though the stable's debut on Raw was quite promising. It has always felt difficult to imagine much success for the group in this version of WWE, which relies on reality more than any other point in the promotion's history. However, a group like The Wyatt Sicks has to be taken seriously, at least to some degree, otherwise it will quickly become a laughingstock like so many fantastical acts before it.

Despite what The Wyatt Sicks may need to be fully effective in WWE, it is unlikely that they will ever receive this support from Triple H , who has a lot of other over acts to prioritize. 'The Game' has overseen a tonal shift within WWE over the past few years that is incongruous with Uncle Howdy and his gang of puppet-people, having already illustrated how far the stable can realistically go.

The good news is that Triple H loves stables, so the sheer fact that the faction exists allows them to interact with other groups in storylines that can sustain themselves for months. The Wyatt Sicks have also been making moves in the tag division , which is exactly the type of low-stakes area that the act fits into.

It is hard to see Bo Dallas' group getting any more of a push than as a midcard act that can fight with other stables and occasionally jostle for titles. Having the faction appear in short bursts to target specific groups or divisions is probably the best that Triple H could get out of them , and that is fine.

The idea behind The Wyatt Sicks is commendable and should be continued for as long as those involved want it to be a thing in WWE. However, it is clear that the act has a well-defined ceiling at this point that is impossible to overcome under the current conditions of the wrestling business.

It is difficult to foresee Uncle Howdy becoming WWE Champion, or to even have the group confront a major faction like The Bloodline for an extended feud, though the latter is more likely. The midcard is not a bad place to be when the company as a whole is doing well, and The Wyatt Sicks can continue to exist within their own space as a unique act with an emotional resonance behind it.
