WWE SmackDown: Three Titles at Stake—Which Superstars Will Keep Their Belts?

WWE SmackDown fans are in for a treat this Friday night. The stakes are high as three championships, including a world title , are on the line for the final show before Night of Champions ( Reminder: Tonight’s SmackDown is airing on tape delay in the U.S. ). The return and continued momentum of The Wyatt Sicks has earned the faction a tag team title match against The Street Profits. Giulia will also receive her first title match as a main roster star, challenging Zelina Vega for the Women’s US Championship.

The headlining title match, however, will see bitter rivals Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax re-engage in a Last Woman Standing match. With three belts (four if you count each tag title) up for grabs, odds are we could be crowning a new champion(s) tonight. But which match looks most likely to usher in a new reign?

WWE SmackDown Title Matches

The Street Profits vs The Wyatt Sicks

After a well-received introduction that quickly lost its head of steam in part due to injuries, The Wyatt Sicks have found new life, and new victims, on WWE SmackDown. Uncle Howdy and co. returned last month to wreak havoc on a highly competitive tag team division. Further still, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy threw down the gauntlet with an impressive victory over former tag team champions The Motor City Machine Guns.

While a title match against the imperious Street Profits seems a little soon, it provides an opportunity to give the faction a bit more weight and authority. However, SmackDown’s tag team division has been defined by a whole heap of backstabbing and interruptions throughout 2025. There are a number of teams who have had title matches and #1 contender matches scuppered by petty interventions. With the Wyatts making themselves public enemy no.1, there’s a good chance that any of one of the tag teams could ruin their first title opportunity.

But if WWE want the fans to take them seriously, putting gold on the spooky syndicate might be the way forward. That being said, a storyline that sees the warring tag team division unite to bring the battle to the Wyatt Sicks would be a great way to underly their power as a group.

Likelihood of a title change: 5/10

Zelina Vega vs Giulia

When Giulia helped Zelina Vega to a street fight victory over Piper Niven three weeks ago, it seemed too good to be true. And it was. The alliance was short-lived as Giulia quickly turned on the US champ, delivering a Northern Lights Bomb to emphasize her title aspirations. Vega’s form has been solid of late, winning seven of her last eight matches. The one loss: a triple threat that saw her get pinned by, you guessed it, Giulia.

Giulia’s rapid promotion to the main roster speaks volumes of her international pedigree. She’s already a one-time NXT women’s champion and has held a number of prominent titles in Japan. Now over half a year into its existence, WWE may be thinking about ways in which they can begin to build the title’s lineage. Chelsea Green provided an entertaining inaugural run and Vega has increased her stock by dealing with the challenges presented by a vengeful Green and the Secret Hervice. As an internationally renowned superstar, Giulia as the new women’s US Champion makes sense if WWE want to expedite the title’s prestige.

Likelihood of a title change: 7/10

Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax

Tiffany Stratton’s popularity has gone through the roof since her shocking Money in the Bank cash-in on Nia Jax to become women’s champion. The cash-in came during the first WWE SmackDown of the Netflix era, ushering in a new era of Tiffy Time. Since winning the title, Stratton has won 11 of her 12 matches – the one exception being a NC against Jade Cargill. On form and popularity, she has established herself as the hottest property in the women’s division.

While Jax, a two-time women’s champion, presents a consistent threat, the momentum of Stratton suggests that her reign is far from over. But with the nature of their match’s stipulation, it could throw up some curveballs both during and after the match.

It will be the first Last Woman Standing match since early 2024, when Jax lost out to Becky Lynch on an episode of WWE Raw. With the personal beef between the two former allies, it’s sure to be a bruising experience for both. The grueling nature of the match could entice Naomi to cash in her own MITB contract. As WWE fans know, the female MITB holders like to act quickly, and this type of encounter offers a valuable opportunity for Naomi. Still, whether it’s Nia Jax or Naomi, it seems unlikely that Stratton will drop her title so soon.

Likelihood of a title change: 3/10
