Weekend Registered Nurse Supervisor

Freedom Village is searching for a Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) who is responsible for the overall nursing care/service and management of all personnel on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.

This position starts at starting at $45/hr plus differential.

Freedom Village is also in need of RN Supervisors every weekend on the first and 2nd shifts and offers flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities with this position include:

• Supervise direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administer direct care as necessary.
• Give and receive shift reports.
• Round twice a shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keep physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Assist in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Respond to resident emergency call system.
• Interface with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
• Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
• Encourage restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence

Qualifications for this position:

• Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. RN with a current license in Pennsylvania.
• At least 1 year of experience in geriatric nursing Long Term Care (LTC) is a plus.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

Cashier/Cafe Attendant

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Cashier/ Cafe Attendant to join its team.

Starting pay rate is $15/hr.

Responsibilities for this positon:

• Greet and interact with residents and visitors in a friendly and approachable manner.
• Handle resident and visitor requests, concerns, and complaints with a positive and professional attitude.
• Ensure all customers feel welcomed and valued, creating a pleasant dining experience.
• Operate the POS system to process customer orders accurately.
• Ensure all transactions are completed correctly, including sales, refunds, and voids.
• Be familiar with processing credit cards as a form of payment, and ensure payments are correctly processed.
• Issue receipts and provide any necessary documentation for transactions.
• Assist with food prep as needed (cutting fruit, packaging fruit, etc).
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure all food items are prepared and stored correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness in the prep area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or assist other team members as needed.

Qualifications for this position:

• Must be available to work full-time. The schedule is Monday through Friday and every other Saturday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
• Exceptional customer service skills required – candidate must be friendly, approachable, and enjoy engaging with people. A positive attitude and the ability to build rapport with residents and guests is essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Must be able to operate POS systems.
• Must be able to reconcile credit cards.

Dishwasher

Freedom Village is seeking Dishwasher/Utility Clerks.

Responsibilities for this position include :

• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
• Perform kitchen activities, including setting up and breaking down the ware-washing system, dish washing, pot washing, general cleaning duties, storing food and non-food supplies, and prep production.
• Assist serving staff with setting tables and workstation areas as well as clearing tables.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, ware-washing systems, and areas in the kitchen.
• Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
• Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
• Supports creating a culture where business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy growth.

Qualifications for this position :

• Minimum completion of high school required.
• Experience in food service work preferred.
• Experience in working with seniors preferred.
