London Travel Chaos Continues: Euston Station LIVE Update

At Euston station, more than 19 trains have been cancelled in the second day of chaos at London’s tenth busiest station.

This comes after a train was derailed in the Milton Keynes Central area yesterday.

Due to the late finish of engineering works, there is severe disruption across the TfL network.

The Circle line is back up and running after being entirely suspended earlier this morning, though TfL is still reporting severe delays .

The Hammersmith & City line is also subject to severe delays after being part suspended this morning, and the Metropolitan line remains part suspended between Baker Street and Aldgate, with severe delays between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Baker Street.

Euston chaos continues

Regulation of pedicabs to come into force next year

The regulation of pedicabs could come into force next year following a consultation that has found overwhelming support for tougher safety standards.

TfL is to press ahead with its plans to regulate the industry after a consultation found that out of nearly 7,700 respondents, 75% currently felt unsafe while using a pedicab in the capital.

This morning, National Rail is reporting a reduced service on trains between London Euston and Milton Keynes, warning commuters to expect delays and revisions.

Tickets can also be used on all reasonable LNER services.

This comes after The Standard revealed last Friday that Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander had told London mayor Sadiq Khan to increase fares by the RPI rate of inflation plus one per cent next year and for the following three years.
