Dénis Bouanga notched LAFC's first goal of the tournament in the 84th minute, timing his run to perfection on a restart, tracking down Timothy Tillman's free kick over the top and calmly slotting a goal in a one-on-one showdown with Flamengo goalkeeper Agustín Rossi.

Flamengo earned the necessary point to top Group D with a 1-1 draw against Los Angeles FC. The Brazilian club will face Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 at 4 p.m. June 29 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Wallace Yan equalized the score two minutes after Dénis Bouanga tallied LAFC's first goal of the tournament.

Flamengo maintained 65.6% possession and outshot LAFC 19-5, striking the woodwork on three occasions. Uruguayan midfielder Giorgian de Arrascaeta was named Man of the Match.

89' LAFC sub: Frankie Amaya replaces Marky Delgado

LAFC makes a switch in midfield as Frankie Amaya replaces Marky Delgado, who struck the post in the first half and picked up a booking in the second.

86' Flamengo goal! Quick equalizer for Wallace Yan

LAFC's shock lead lasted just two minutes.

Wallace Yan breezed past three defenders after collecting a short pass from Jorginho and beat Hugo Lloris to his right to tie the score 1-1. If the score holds, Flamengo would win Group D with seven points.

84' LAFC goal! Dénis Bouanga breaks the deadlock

Los Angeles FC stunned Flamengo against the run of play from a quick restart, taking a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute.

Timothy Tillman played a quick ball over the top, Dénis Bouanga timed his run to perfection and the Gabonese star finished with ease.

81' Flamengo makes triple substitution

Flamengo sends in left-back Matías Viña, forward Juninho and midfielder Jorginho for the final 10 minutes and stoppage time, replacing Alex Sandro, Pedro and Evertton Araújo, respectively.

75' LAFC's Marky Delgado booked for late tackle

Both teams head to the sidelines for the second-half cooling break, but LAFC picked up its second booking just before the stoppage.

Marky Delgado drew a yellow card after taking down Flamengo forward Wallace Yan in transition with a late tackle.

70' Flamengo crashes the crossbar again

It's another thunderous near-miss for Flamengo.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta rocked the crossbar following a layoff in the box from Pedro, keeping the score tied 0-0.

Both teams have made substitutions. Wallace Yan and Bruno Henrique entered for Flamengo, replacing de Arrascaeta and Luis Araújo, and Timothy Tillman checked in for LAFC to replace David Martínez.

64' Hugo Lloris stops long-range Flamengo shot

Flamengo tried its luck again from distance, but Luiz Araújo's left-footed shot from about 25 yards out skipped harmlessly into the midsection of LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The score remains 0-0 in Orlando.

59' Flamengo SUB: Michael in, Everton Soares out

Everton's long-range shot was his last action of the night, subbed out for Michael in a like-for-like change on the left wing.

58' LAFC, Flamengo trade chances at both ends

Denis Bouanga nearly gave LAFC a surprise lead, bending his run and creating space in the box with a cutback before dragging his left-footed shot off the near post.

On the ensuing Flamengo possession, Everton Soares forced Hugo Lloris into a flying save from distance. Pedro's acrobatic half-volley from the ensuing corner sailed over the bar.

46' LAFC SUB: Marlon forced off for concussion concern

LAFC was forced into a defensive substitution at halftime over concerns for a possible concussion for center-back Marlon. Artem Smolyakov takes his place in the lineup ahead of the restart.

HALFTIME: LAFC 0, Flamengo 0

Flamengo and Los Angeles FC will head into halftime scoreless, which would be enough for the Brazilian side to top Group D at the moment. In Philadelphia, Chelsea holds a 2-0 lead over Espérance de Tunis, which would see the Blues progress in second place.

Flamengo struck the post three times in the opening 45 minutes, but did not force Hugo Lloris into any saves. LAFC's best chance came from a corner when Marky Delgado's curler clipped the outside of the right post.

45'+5 Yellow card for LAFC's Igor Jesus

Just before halftime, LAFC's Igor Jesus picked up the game's first yellow card for a foul near the midfield stripe.

30' Hugo Lloris injured in collision with teammate

LAFC goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was injured after a collision with defender Eddie Segura, igniting a chaotic sequence in the box that included another Flamengo shot off the post. Lloris attempted to claim a cross, but could not hang on following the contact; Pedro had a clean look at goal moments later from the center of the box but thumped the bar with a left-footed shot.

Lloris, the former Tottenham captain, will stay in the game with about 15 minutes left in the first half.

26' Flamengo dominating possession, increasing pressure

Flamengo is hemming LAFC deep in its own half of the pitch, controlling nearly 75% of the ball through the game's opening 25 minutes. The Brazilian giants have a 4-1 edge in shot attempts, but neither side has broken the scoreless deadlock.

13' More woodwork! Flamengo fires off the right post

The woodwork continues to rattle in Orlando.

Giorgian de Arrascaeta beat Hugo Lloris clean from inside the box, but his right-footed effort clanked the right post and out.

10' Marky Delgado clips post for LAFC

LAFC's first crack from a corner nearly produced a wonder-goal.

Marky Delgado curled a 20-yard, right-footed strike past a diving Agustín Rossi, but it clipped the outside of the far post.

3' Flamengo hits post from set piece

Danilo clipped the outside of the post after making contact on a free-kick delivery just outside the LAFC box.
