Jordan Rodgers Misses Steelers QB's Wedding, Learns News Online, Report Reveals

Aaron Rodgers apparently kept his closest friends in the dark about his marriage.

His brother, reportedly, was as well.

The latter, however, isn't a shock.

Aaron Rodgers and his younger brother, Jordan, along with the rest of his family have had a well-documented estrangement for years.

It was discussed in a recent biography on Rodgers "Out of the Darkness: The Mystery of Aaron Rodgers" and even more in Rodgers' own words during a Netflix documentary where cameras followed him around last year.

While that rift is public, Aaron Rodgers keeps his relationship with his new wife private .

"Jordan and JoJo (Jordan's wife he met on the "Bachelorette") didn't go to the wedding and don't even know anything really about Brittani," the Daily Mail reported, while naming the woman Rodgers last said he was dating. "What they've heard is secondhand from his parents."

The Journal Sentinel has not independently confirmed details of Rodgers' wedding or its guests.

Aaron Rodgers didn't go to Jordan's wedding in 2022 after the former Green Bay Packers quarterback has cut ties off with his parents and brothers for years.

"Secondhand, they hear that she's willing to stay private and that she's not with him for his fame or money," the Daily Mail reported of Brittani. "But they know nothing about her. This is not a close family unit at all. Right now, JoJo and Jordan are getting the news about the marriage from the internet."

Here's more on Jordan Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers' wife and family.

Who is Jordan Rodgers?

Jordan Rodgers is the younger brother of Aaron Rodgers who most famously found love on the ABC hit reality TV dating show, "The Bachelorette," in 2016.

Like his older brother, he was a football player and quarterback. And like Aaron, Jordan began his college career at Butte Community College where he set a school record for passing yards in a season in 2009, a mark that has since been broken. He then transferred to Vanderbilt University from 2010-12.

Jordan went undrafted in 2013 before spending time with three NFL teams during the next two seasons. He was never on an active NFL roster.

Rodgers was the winner of JoJo Fletcher's season of "Bachelorette" and the two became engaged in 2016. After a six-year engagement, they tied the knot in 2022 and have remained a successful reality TV love story.

Rodgers can be seen these days on ESPN broadcasting college football games and most recently the UFL.

Aaron Rodgers' brother, Jordan Rodgers, and relationship

Jordan Rodgers addressed his relationship — or lack thereof — with Aaron during an episode on "The Bachelorette" in 2016.

"Like I said, I have a great relationship with my brother Luke," Jordan told JoJo, referencing his oldest brother. "Me and Aaron don't really have that much of a relationship. It's just kind of how he's chosen to live his life.

"I chose to stay close to my family and my parents and my brother. Yeah, it's not ideal, and I love him. I can't imagine what it's like to be in his shoes and have the pressure he has and the demands from people that he has. Don't have hard feelings against him. It's just, uh, just how things go right now."

"Right now" has turned into nine years.

Rodgers talked about Jordan's appearance on "The Bachelorette" during his 2024 Netflix documentary that certainly didn't help the family dynamic.

He said in the docuseries that while he wasn't close with everyone in his family he was with Jordan growing up. However, his issues with his family , he noted, go back to "stuff from high school that kind of made me feel distant. Stuff from college, stuff from post-college."

"I was quiet about it because I thought the best way to do it was just don't talk about it publicly. And what do they do? They go on a (expletive) show and leave two empty chairs," Aaron said, referencing the home visit of "The Bachelorette" (Aaron was dating actress Olivia Munn at the time) to show that the two weren't there. "They all agreed this was a good thing to do, to leave two empty chairs at a stupid dating show that my brother just went on to get famous — his words, not mine — that he ended up winning.

"But a dinner that was during the season, I was never asked to go to, not that I would've gone."

Rodgers added that his different views on religion and spirituality, plus his use of ayahuasca were also factors in the distance.

"When I started looking into other religions and plant medicine, I also found a lot of resistance doing things that, compared to what I grew up in, would be considered an alternative lifestyle," Rodgers said.

Aaron Rodgers' marriage

Aaron Rodgers said he was married earlier this offseason.

"Been a couple of months," is how he responded to a question about his marriage last week by Pittsburgh reporters on the first day of mandatory minicamp.

Rodgers did not provide any other details about the wedding, only confirming the ring on his finger was in fact a wedding ring after weeks of speculation that began at the Kentucky Derby .

He has kept his wife and his relationship private, a change from his previous dating life and partners .

"It’s important to have your private life private when you’re a public person," Rodgers said during a question-and-answer session at a live taping of the "Ya Neva Know" podcast with rapper Mike Stud, in Austin, Texas, in May.

Aaron Rodgers' wife

Rodgers has not divulged any information about his wife.

Before revealing that he was married on June 10 , the last he mentioned about his girlfriend was in April.

"I'm in a different phase of my life, I'm 41 years old, I'm in a serious relationship," Rodgers said on "The Pat McAfee Show" April 17 , while discussing his football future.

And before that, Rodgers last mentioned a new girlfriend named Brittani during an appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" in December 2024 .

Rodgers only said she didn't have social media, told everyone how to spell Brittani's name and how she was a fan of McAfee's show, a program in which Rodgers is a regular guest . No public photos exist of Rodgers with his wife.

He noted after McAfee suggested that Rodgers found love that "it's a good feeling."

Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers

On the football field, Aaron Rodgers is set for his 21st season in 2025, but first with the Pittsburgh Steelers .

He signed with the Steelers on a one-year contract June 5 after months of uncertainty over his football future .

Rodgers said earlier this offseason that he wasn't ready to commit to playing again due to people in his inner circle going through "difficult stuff."

The Steelers are the third team in his Hall of Fame career and he'll look for a proper ending that he didn't get with the New York Jets.

After 18 years with the Green Bay Packers, that saw him win four MVPs and a Super Bowl championship, Rodgers spent the last two seasons playing for the Jets. But his two years were marred by injury, frustration and firings. He was released in March and became a free agent for the first time in his career .
