Matsuri will be seen with Ulalaka , showing off her strength and boasting of her strength as a God. Meanwhile, Woolby instigates a minor spat between himself and her, causing Matsuri to threaten him once again. Matsuri brags about her bravery, which will come into play in the next quest after you advance the main story until the end of Act 1 , after you free Fubuki in the Winter Village.
Getting To Know Matsuri 1 (Summer Village Brouhaha)

- Head to Iroha's Teahouse (6 AM - 10 PM)
- Head to the Summer God Shrine (9 PM - 2 AM)
Arrive at the main road and hear the gossip of nearby villagers that claim that there is a restless spirit around, terrorizing them at night with opening doors and cries of missing a neck. Speak to Matsuri , and she will clam up and claim that there's no such thing as ghosts; however, with how tense the villagers are growing, the other Gods gather to discuss. In all villages aside from Winter Village, they've all received reports of ghosts, so they decide that Gods will patrol at night to catch the ghosts in action, much to Matsuri's horror despite her boasting of bravery just days before.

The following evening, you accompany Matsuri to find the cause of the supernatural rumors, only to find that the one behind it was Mauro searching mournfully for his missing necklace. At first, Matsuri is relieved until Mauro mentions that while he was behind the wailing, he wasn't the cause behind the doors opening and closing on the abandoned house, causing Matsuri to scream in frustration and the bonding event to end.
Getting To Know Matsuri 2 (I'm Gonna Be The Greatest God Ever)

At the Summer God Shrine, you will see Matsuri practicing getting back into fighting shape after losing most of her divinity and being recently brought back. However, she is mocked by her weakness and, in her frustration, decides to be the God of just swords and tries to toss her responsibilities as the Summer God onto the player before running off to the Limestone Caverns to continue training. Travel with Matsuri to the Limestone caverns and learn the tale of a man obsessed with fighting to the point he became blighted and a monster, similar to the one you fought before, to free Matsuri. You'll need to fight another one, slightly stronger than the last. Upon defeating the monster, Matsuri will thank you for today and leave. Return tomorrow to see the results of that day.
On The Road To Greatness

The next day, head to the Summer God Shrine and find Matsuri training, only this time determined to be the best God she can be, unceremoniously taking back the godhood duties from you, even if you never accepted in the first place. She makes a vow to be the strongest to take care of her Village, and thanks you for yesterday.
Getting To Know Matsuri 3 (Pulling Off a Summer Festival)

Requirements:
- Reach Bond Level 6 with Matsuri
- Wait until Tomorrow
- Head to the Summer God Shrine
- Head to Sakuraya Construction (6 AM - 6 PM)
- Give Material Lumber (10 pieces)
- Give Material Iron (10 pieces)
Matsuri is bored and craving some new excitement, deciding to throw a huge bon dance festival in a few days, asking for your help, along with the Carpenter, Sakuraya, in constructing the largest tower possible for the event. Sakuraya says it's doable and has you collect the materials, after which you bring them to him, and he informs the player and Matsuri that the tower will be ready by tomorrow.
Festival Preparations

- Head to the plaza in Summer Village
On the day of the Bon Dance, the tower is complete, and other villagers are around to help set it up. Sakuraya says that the tower is sturdy and won't fall, and Matsuri offers to test it out, hitting the tower with a powerful punch, sending it crashing to the ground. Embarrassed, she runs off, and the player quickly follows. She says that she messes up a lot of things, and the player consoles her while telling her that the others are just worried about her and convinces her to fix and clean up the mess and hold the bon dance, just with a smaller tower. You'll be able to attend the new bon dance the following evening.

Matsuri will take a moment before realizing that the player is serious about their confession. In her confused and flustered state, she will ask you to give her a day to gather her feelings and meet her at her shrine in the afternoon.

- Choose nicknames for yourself and Matsuri to address each other as.
At the Summer God Shrine, Matsuri will fluster, attempting to talk to you, recounting all the player has done for her before loudly proclaiming that the Earth Dancer must date her to atone for stealing a God's heart. If you choose to accept her feelings in return, you will begin a relationship with her and unlock more bonding events for her romance.
Summer Date Plans

Your first date will be at Summer Village as Matsuri believes it's perfect for summer love and romance. The two of you enjoy the beach and sights, but run out of ideas, leading a fishing date to round things off. Matsuri has a great time, but promises a more exciting date next time.

On the next date, Matsuri mixes up by wanting to fight monsters while heading to the destination of the Summer Shores Hanging Bridge for reasons she won't disclose to the player just yet. As the two arrive, a man on the bridge is being attacked by monsters. Fight by Matsuri's side to save the man and reveal the purpose of the bridge. Rumor has it that a couple that crosses the bridge will find happiness together, and the man has been trying to find happiness since he was single. Matsuri will relate before boasting proudly that what she and the player have is way better, which, while it flatters the player, makes the man feel worse in the end.
Issuing A Challenge

- Ask Matsuri on a date
- Talk to Matsuri (12 PM - 3 PM)
- Head to Sakaki's House (12 PM - 6 PM)

For the last date, Matsuri wants to travel to the other villages and challenge everyone and anyone she comes across, with varying results depending on the competition. Though she wins some, and a deciding game at Kurama's home determines another win or loss, at the end of the tour, she reveals that she had a great time and learned some new perspectives, even on the challenges she lost. She hopes the player will take her around again for a rematch.
Marriage Proposal

After you max out your intimacy with Matsuri and reach Bond Level 10, Woolby will gift you with a special Red Plum Sapling and Divine Spirit's Recipe. Plant the Tree behind a Dragon Shrine of yours and wait for it to bloom, then craft the Divine Spirits like any other drink at a cooking station. Once you're ready, invite Matsuri to the Fateweaver Shrine to initiate the proposal.
Marriage Ceremony

A day after your proposal, you and your new spouse will receive congratulations on your wedding day throughout all the villages, and go through a traditional ceremony where Rin or Kaguya will oversee the ceremony at the shrine. Woolbywill help you end your vows. Ultimately, you will be able to update your nicknames to reflect your new marital status. You have now reached the end of this guide and have successfully romanced and married Matsuri. As a bonus, you will receive the achievement: My marriage to Matsuri.
