How to Master Elena’s Moves in Street Fighter 6

Quick Links

The roster of Street Fighter 6 keeps expanding with fascinating and fan-favorite characters, with Elena joining the fray as the final fighter in its second season. She was a force of nature in Ultra Street Fighter 4, and she aims to be just as devastating in this installment.

While she shares many similarities with her previous iterations, Elena is a breath of fresh air in Street Fighter 6, offering a tremendously unique and enjoyable playstyle that suits her bubbly and robust personality well. Her combos are expressive, potent, and flashy, making her capoeira shine with the Drive systems and mechanics!

Elena Overview

In Ultra Street Fighter 4, Elena was annoying due to her ability to heal constantly, while also being very aggressive, making her tremendously challenging to deal with. In Street Fighter 6, however, she doesn't have that option, but remains incredibly evasive and overwhelming.

Her Target Combos can lead into Special Moves, and she can use her lights for solid hit confirms that make her excellent at fishing for Counter Hits that can lead to massive damage. This, paired with her ability to heal via her Super Arts, makes her formidable, to say the least.

Elena also has tremendous range on her Medium Attacks, which can also lead into Target Combos, which can then be canceled into Special Moves. Yeah, it's as good as it sounds. She also has very deceptive high/low mixups and excellent safe-jump options, adding to her suffocating offensive pressure.

Overall, Elena is a beginner-friendly character with a straightforward combo structure, allowing her to get in and execute her game plan with ease. Her ability to apply pressure and keep it going is unrivaled once she gets rolling!

Elena Command List

Before we focus on her devastating combo potential, let's first highlight Elena's Command List, as you will need to know what she's capable of first before moving onward, as she has a lot going on, specifically with her Target Combos.

She has A LOT of Target Combos, which will be her primary way of kickstarting a devastating combo after fishing for, and confirming, a hit or Counter Hit. Elena is also very evasive and has the ability to get in on her opponent without having to spend meter, which is very hard to deal with!

Elena Tips And Tricks

As you can see from all the information above, Elena is still a menace in Street Fighter 6, despite her heals now being limited to only her Super Arts. Still, before we wrap things up, we wanted to highlight just a few more tips and tricks to get the most out of her kit.

Despite her Target Combos (Unique Attacks) being her ace up her sleeve, her Special Moves are obviously also very strong. Particularly Lynx Song (⬇️↘️➡️ P), which makes her immune to projectiles while simultaneously advancing her forward, across the screen.

Most characters have to Parry then Drive Rush or slowly inch forward against projectiles to get in on their opponent, while Elena can simply use Lynx Song to do both without utilizing any of her Drive Gauge. It's a very good tool and should be utilized often!

Furthermore, she can also enter or extend Lynx Song with Lynx Whirl, a follow-up action of the Overdrive version of Lynx Song and Spinning Scyth, which makes her mixup game even more daunting to deal with, as she can either go for one of the several follow-up action from Lynx Song afterward, or just go for a grab after conditioning her opponent!
