Yellow Veil Pictures Sets Global Sales for 'Mother of Flies,' the New Horror Hit from The Adams Family (Exclusive)

Yellow Veil Pictures has taken over the global distribution rights for "Mother of Flies." This independent film marks the newest addition to the supernatural horror genre, directed by the collaborative team of John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughter, Zelda Adams.

The official synopsis of the movie states, "A young woman receives a grim prognosis and turns to an enigmatic witch in the forest for help through occult practices. However, each remedy comes with a price."

Previously, Poser, along with John Adams and Zelda Adams—who both directed and starred—had notable works such as "The Deeper You Dig," "Where the Devil Roams," and their breakthrough film "Hellbender." This standout movie, "Hellbender," was picked up by the horror streaming service Shudder in 2021 prior to making its global debut at the Fantasia International Film Festival.

Directing credits for John Adams and Poser include "Kneecap Jack," "The Shooter," "Halfway to Nirvana" and "Hellscape."

"'Mother of Flies' seems like a spiritual follow-up to 'Hellbanger,' highlighting the family’s prowess in drawing from their individual pasts to craft something hauntingly beautiful," noted Yellow Veil co-founder Joe Yanick.

Yellow Veil Pictures, established in 2018 by Hugues Barbier, Justin Timms, and Yanick, is a bicoastal distributor focusing on independent and art house movies. Additional films distributed by Yellow Veil include " Dead Lover Drat!," "Dream Squad," "The Alternative Lawrences," "Mystery of Flame," and "Once Upon a Time in Uganda.
