USD 437 Unveils New Middle School with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The newly built Washburn Rural Middle School is prepared for students to begin classes.
The Auburn-Washburn School District held the opening ceremony for Washburn Rural North on Monday night.
13 NEWS got an inside look of the new school At 29th and Auburn last week.
The district officials mention that with wide corridors and a focus on exterior areas, it was crucial for them to ensure each part of the structure supports education effectively.
Middle school students will have access to various areas including the main hallway and another corridor near the classrooms," stated Superintendent Dr. Scott McWilliams. "The outdoors also provide an excellent and secure setting. This new facility offers numerous chances for our young learners to immerse themselves in education along with fostering skills like teamwork and cooperation.
Washburn Rural North is set to welcome students this autumn.
