Trump states that judges he nominates won’t insist on deportation ‘hearings’.

President Donald Trump discussed his progress on judicial appointments when he spoke with journalists onboard Air Force One late Sunday, stating, “We’re moving them in quickly. We aim to select highly qualified individuals.”

"We need judges that are not going to be demanding trials for every single illegal immigrant. We have millions of people that have come in here illegally, and we can't have a trial for every single person. That would be millions of trials," the president said of the administration's sweeping deportations.

Trump said his overhaul of U.S. immigration policies was "the No. 1 issue" he campaigned on, claiming "radicalized" judges are delaying that process.

"Therefore, people enter our nation unlawfully, and apparently, we’re expected to spend weeks and even months conducting trials for each of these criminals, including murderers spread across the country. I doubt the Supreme Court would allow this. It’s unbelievable because, if they did, our nation wouldn’t survive,” Trump asserted.

Trump directs the reopening and enlargement of the renowned Alcatraz prison.

President Donald Trump stated in a post on Truth Social on Sunday that he has directed the Bureau of Prisons to reinstate and enlarge the well-known Alcatraz Island prison, located near San Francisco, to accommodate some of America’s toughest and most aggressive offenders.

"We will no longer be held hostage to criminals, thugs, and Judges that are afraid to do their job and allow us to remove criminals, who came into our Country illegally," Trump wrote.

The Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary ceased operations in 1963 following approximately three decades of service, mainly because of soaring maintenance expenses and the worsening state of the prison, as reported by the Bureau of Prisons.

Since 1973, it has functioned as a museum and has grown into one of the most frequented locations under the Park Service, attracting more than a million tourists annually, as reported by the Bureau of Prisons.
