Students Thrilled by Exciting Visit from Birds of Prey

Pupils at a Brampton high school had an exciting encounter with various birds of prey.

The students at William Howard School had a visit from the Cumberland Bird of Prey Centre on Friday, May 16.

The birds likewise displayed their aerial prowess for the captivated students.

As we all know, nocturnal creatures are those that are active at night, but did you also know that animals active during the day are called diurnal?

In Year 8, students Abigail and Phoebe participated in the event and shared what they enjoyed most about encountering the birds of prey.

This recent event followed others arranged by William Howard School’s Open Spaces coordinator, Liz Booker. Earlier this month, students had an engaging encounter with exotic creatures courtesy of Pet Encounter Cumbria.
