Staff's Vibrant Mural Transforms Hospital Waiting Room in the UK

The hospital waiting area has been revamped with a mural created by the employees.

The mural, painted by a group of dedicated staff at Southampton General Hospital’s research facility, has brightened up a large waiting room.

A contribution from Southampton Hospitals Charity along with the dedicated efforts of volunteers has enhanced both the waiting room and the children’s play area.

The waiting area, typically accommodating as many as 50 children during clinic days, has been transformed into an engaging outdoor setting featuring vibrant birds. Some of these avian characters are depicted wearing casts and crutches, adding a playful and familiar element for the young patients.

The artwork was created during the bank holiday weekend, as employees dedicated their free time to work on it.
