A Century of Love and Service: The Story of Rose Morris

Rose Morris, aged 100, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Pleasant Point Senior Living in Racine, Wisconsin Born on March 26, 1925, in Escanaba, Michigan, Rose devoted her life to family, faith, and community service.

A lifetime commitment to service and family

Rose grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and she went to school there. St. Mary’s Grade School , Lincoln Junior High , and graduated from Mary Bradford High School On April 12, 1947, she wedded Frank J. Morris, the love of her life, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Together, they established a family before Frank passed away in 1987.

Through her lifetime, Rose was employed at Simmons Mattress Company , American Motors , and Snap-On Tools After her husband passed away, she devoted 29 years to service. St. Monica’s Senior Living , where she provided support in the office as well. In 2002, she was appointed as an Honorary Affiliate of St. Rita , where she resided with her siblings until 2017, at which point she went back to Kenosha.

Rose was renowned for her profound affection towards her family and her benevolent nature. Her passing leaves behind an irreplaceable void among those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survived by family

Rose is leaves behind her sisters, Muriel (Delvin) Durbin and Annabelle (David) Ralph, who reside in Kenosha, as well as The Sisters of St. Rita located in Racine and Germany. She is also remembered through her close friendship with Marie Leavitte and cherished ties to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear acquaintances. Preceding her in passing were her spouse, Frank; her mother and father, John and Alice Beaumier; along with her brothers Roland Nantelle, Wallace Nantelle, and Edward Beaumier; and her sisters Noella (Chester) Curtis and Clara (Melvin) Minkey.

Service details

The funeral mass will take place on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church located at 1919 54th Street, Kenosha. The ceremony will be conducted by Reverend Robert McDermott. Following the service, interment will occur at St. George Cemetery. Friends and relatives can come to pay their respects prior to the mass between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
