Plainview's Young Artists Unveil New Mural Downtown

A number ofPlainview National Arts Honor Societystudents dedicatedtheirSaturdayto paintinga freshmuralonthe windowsof abuildinglocatedat 612 Ashdowntown.

The completed project showcases a vibrant representation of the various clubs and organizations available through Plainview ISD.

The mural is an integral component of a larger effort led by the Downtown Plainview/Main Street Program/Tourism Coordinating Board aimed at boosting economic activities within downtown Plainview.

This is a targeted initiative as part of our Window Activation Strategy with Main Street aimed at involving property owners via temporary public art displays,” stated Main Street Coordinator Sara Stevens Olivares.

The artwork was crafted by members of the honor society from the art department. They spent approximately eight hours completing it on Saturday.
