Patriots Unveil Their 2025 Season Schedule
POWNATION, Massachusetts (WPRI) — The New England Patriots unveiled their 2025 season schedule Wednesday night.
Mike Vrabel’s first official-season launch as coach as the team leader of the Patriots will happen at home on September 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
This season, New England is set to participate in three nationally televised games, with two occurring at Gillette Stadium. On October 5th, they'll welcome the Buffalo Bills for a Sunday Night Football game. Then, on November 13th, it’s the New York Jets coming over for a Thursday Night Football match-up. Lastly, their final primetime home game will be against the New York Giants for a Monday Night Football clash on December 1st.
It will mark the fifth occasion overall where the Patriots face off against the reigning AFC champion Buffalo Bills in a Sunday night matchup, with their previous encounter having been back in the 2007 season.
For the consecutive second year, the Patriots will face off against the Jets on Thursday Night Football. This matchup will mark their seventh encounter on a Thursday night, with the Patriots holding an overall record of 4-2 in such games.
New England will make their initial appearance on Monday Night Football since the 2022 season when they face the Giants. Additionally, this game marks the first occasion where the Patriots and Giants will compete against each other on a Monday evening.
The squad's initial match away from their home ground will be played against the Miami Dolphins on September 28. Following this, they will head back home to face off against both the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers in subsequent matches.
The Patriots are set for a three-game away series — their first such stretch since the 2020 season. They'll face the Bills, succeeded by games against the New Orleans Saints and the Tennessee Titans.
This game against the Titans will mark the first occasion for Vrabel to return to Tennessee since he completed his six-year term as their head coach.
After playing against the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons at home in Foxboro, the Patriots will head out to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sandwiched between two prime-time matches, they will also make a trip to face the Cincinnati Bengals.
New England has their bye week set for December 7th. After returning from this break, they will welcome the Bills to town again before hitting the road to face the Baltimore Ravens and the Jets.
The Patriots are anticipated to finish their season with a matchup against the Miami Dolphins at their home stadium; however, an official date and time for that contest have not yet been established.
This marks the 18th occasion in franchise history where the Patriots will encounter the Dolphins during their regular-season finale, with the previous meeting being back in the 2021 season.
Altogether, New England will have nine matches at their home stadium and will make trips for eight away games.
The Patriots are scheduled to face the Washington Commanders, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Giants during the preseason, which starts on August 8th.
Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy provided his scoring forecasts for every week. The Patriots' schedule reveal video , as the team posted on social media.
“It seems quite simple to me,” Portnoy said with a shrug.
