Nvidia Takes Flight: Unveils New Taiwanese Office!

Nvidia's Computex 2025 keynote primarily centered around AI-powered factories, AI-driven agents, and essentially all things AI. Nevertheless, the most striking reveal came at the end: a CGI representation of Nvidia's newly established Taiwanese branch, named "Constellation" , entering Earth's atmosphere like a spacecraft from a Star Trek show.

That’s correct. Jensen unveiled the new office saying it's “one of our biggest projects yet, and it’s parked outdoors,” then he left the stage as the introduction for Star Trek: The Nvidia Adventure... well, actually, this marked the unveiling of the office.

In a keynote otherwise filled with various AI-related reveals and proclamations, it was certainly the most exciting moment of the whole affair.

To be frank, although I anticipated a Taiwanese office unveiling during the presentation, part of me secretly wished Nvidia had taken us completely into science fiction territory and started constructing a spacecraft instead. It left me slightly let down when what appeared to be a spaceship ended up being just another office complex. Come on, Nvidia; you know we’re all big kids who love this stuff.

Still, it's a pretty office building, at least. The site for Nvidia Constellation will be based in Taipei, and Jensen confirmed that construction would begin as soon as possible, because "we need the office space."

"As you know, we have been growing. And all of our partnerships, with you, have been growing," Huang said to the crowd.

"The number of engineers we have here in Taiwan has been growing. And so we are growing beyond the limits of our current office. And so I'm going to build them a brand new Nvidia Taiwan office."

"We've also been selecting the sites, and all of the mayors and all of the different cities have been very kind to us. I think we got some nice deals."

It would be foolish to think differently. Nevertheless, Huang playfully remarked that the site appeared "somewhat pricey," yet he acknowledged, "premium locations come at a premium price."

We have finalized the transfer of the lease from the present owners," Huang went on to say. "But I realize that for the mayor to agree to this lease, he needs confirmation from the residents of Taipei regarding their support for constructing a significant, splendid Nvidia Constellation project here. What do you think about it?

The spectators reacted with ample applause, naturally. And that will conclude our show. Huang playfully suggested that the audience ought to contact the mayor directly, though he did not offer a phone number. Perhaps it was just as well.

The Constellation naming (and spaceship theming) fits with two of Nvidia's other sites, Nvidia Voyager and Nvidia Endeavor I figured hoping for an Nvidia Enterprise might have been unrealistic, but the naming could indeed cause some confusion since high-end business computing is so crucial. Nvidia's bottom line.

Certainly, keeping the search terms clear would be wise, huh? Regardless, the new office looks great, though sadly, no real spacecraft yet. Perhaps we'll see one next year. Here's hoping!
