Michael Knowles from The Daily Wire Commends Trans Military Ban, Labels Identity as 'Illness'

Popular conservative commentator Michael Knowles indicates the Supreme Court supported the President Donald Trump His prohibition against transgender individuals serving in the armed forces is a prudent decision... as he believes it’s a significant condition that impacts their ability to perform in combat roles.

We talked to Knowles -- who has been a long-time podcast host at Ben Shapiro "The News PulseLive" stopped by on Wednesday to talk about the court's decision earlier this week with 'Daily Wire'... He mentioned he supports it since mental health challenges within the transgender community can hinder their effectiveness as service members.

Knowles cites research indicating increased prevalence of chronic diseases within the transgender community... and also notes that Americans elected Trump with full awareness of his intentions in this regard, thus endorsing it.

In response to queries regarding the emphasis placed on such a tiny community, Knowles essentially states that transgender people pose a threat to society regardless of their location—citing instances where women supported Trump due to their opposition to having transgender individuals be part of their group.

As stated by the Department of Defense, fewer than 1% of current service members identify as transgender... yet, even these few individuals aren’t suited for combat roles according to Michael.

Regarding whether this decision implies that all homosexual individuals could potentially be excluded from the military in the future... Michael asserts that such an outcome is impossible because numerous gay persons have been serving in the military for several decades without issue.

Nevertheless, he supports "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," claiming it works effectively, even as Harvey counters his argument.

Knowles often refers to being transgender as a "severe mental illness." It’s important to mention that gender dysphoria — which, based on the American Psychiatric Association The " psychological distress arising from a mismatch between one’s sex assigned at birth and their gender identity" —is incorporated into the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).

Nevertheless, gender non-conformity does not appear in the manual... and, notably, the authors explicitly stated, “Gender non-conformity should not be classified as a mental disorder.” The aim behind all of this is to address genuine issues without stigmatizing one’s identity.
