Kim Jong Un Bolsters Military Might: Oversees Artillery Drill in Key Meeting

SEOUL (The News Pulse) – On Wednesday, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un presided over a party gathering focused on bolstering the country’s military capabilities. Subsequently, he observed an artillery exercise on Thursday, as reported by state-run news agency KCNA on Friday.

During an extended session of the 8th Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim stressed the importance of reinforcing the role of party organizations in implementing directives from the central leadership. This was aimed at addressing “all issues emerging in the development of the armed forces and military operations.”

Kim additionally mentioned that "it is very crucial to regularly hold shooting competitions in settings similar to real combat scenarios" in order to develop a formidable military, as reported by KCNA.

These were the most recent among several developments involving Kim, as highlighted by KCNA, aimed at bolstering the military over the last few weeks.

In May, Kim toured tank and ammunition factories, oversaw a brief-range missile test and an aerial exercise, and labeled a defective warship launch as "criminal," as reported by state-run media.
