Kids Transform Into Mini Medics at Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Milton Keynes

Staff members at Amazon brought along their kids for a first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) workshop held at the Milton Keynes fulfillment center. This educational session, aimed at children between seven and eleven years old, was conducted by Gary Wishart, an Amazon team member who has newly acquired his certification as an on-site safety instructor.
The Mini Medics educational initiative is a fundamental first-aid program tailored for young individuals aged seven to 16 years old. This course acquaints children with essential healthcare information, vital life-saving techniques, and how to provide initial medical assistance.
Victor Pulido, who serves as the General Manager at the Amazon fulfillment center in Milton Keynes, stated:
Having first aid and CPR knowledge is crucial for young individuals, and those who participated in the training ought to feel a significant boost in their self-assurance and security—basic safety education has the potential to be lifesaving. I would like to express my gratitude to Gary for organizing this session, which will undoubtedly leave a lasting positive impression on these young participants.
Safety trainer Gary added:
The young medical enthusiasts in Milton Keynes showed great enthusiasm and actively participated throughout the course, which made delivering it equally enjoyable for me as it was engaging for them. What stood out most was seeing everybody improve significantly during the sessions. There isn’t an age limit when it comes to acquiring essential life-saving abilities. Personally, this experience has earned me additional safety certifications needed for my role at Amazon.
