Kick-Off This Weekend: The 43rd Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival Returns!

SAN ANTONIO - The 43rd annual Tejano Conjunto Festival begins this weekend.
The festival kicks off officially tomorrow and continues until Sunday, offering three days filled with live shows, dance, and communal festivities.
Cristina Balli, who leads the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center as its Executive Director, explains, "I often describe it as a massive backyard cookout attended by about three to four thousand of your nearest kin. The heart of it all lies in the music—the accordions playing our traditional tunes from South Texas."
Earlier today saw the commencement of the celebrations with a complimentary senior dance, providing elderly individuals an opportunity to savor live tunes and reunite with acquaintances.
The remainder of the festival will be held at Rosedale Park, where guests can expect performances by local and regional artists, food vendors, and family-friendly activities.
