Kiara Advani Admires Her Baby Bump in Sleek Black Gaurav Gupta Ensemble

Actor and soon-to-be-mom Kiara Advani stunned at the 2025 Met Gala, which had "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" as its theme, marking an extraordinary showcase of Indian talent on international fashion’s premier platform. This occasion held historical significance as she became the inaugural Indian actress to walk the Met Gala red carpet visibly pregnant. Multiple images from the evening depict her tenderly touching her belly while exuding radiant beauty.

Cloaked in a bespoke masterpiece from acclaimed Indian fashion creator Gaurav Gupta, Kiara's ensemble honored her cultural heritage as well as her individual growth.

Her collection, called Bravehearts, was about much more than just clothing. —It honored femininity, heritage, and metamorphosis. Meticulously designed, the dress included an ancient gold chest plate decorated with ghungroos and crystals. Two symbolic forms—Mother Heart and Baby Heart—were linked by a chain umbilical cord, visually narrating the bond of motherhood.

The 'Good Newwz' actor also paid homage to the late Andr Leon Talley, legendary fashion editor and Black icon, through a dramatic double-panelled cape, a nod to his iconic silhouettes and influence on the fashion world. By blending Indian craftsmanship with global symbolism, Kiara's appearance was both a personal milestone and a powerful cultural statement.

Speaking about her debut, the actor said, "Making my Met Gala debut at this point in my life, as both an artist and mother-to-be feels incredibly special. When my stylist, Anaita, approached Gaurav to design my look, he created 'Bravehearts', a vision that honours the transformative phase I'm stepping into connecting it beautifully to this year's dress code 'Tailored for You.' Inspired by the legacy of Andr Leon Talley, we reflected on what it means to show up with intention, individuality, and strength. This is a silent tribute to that — it's a reminder that everything we do paves the way for the next generation."

Kiara's first appearance at the Met Gala is a tribute to her heritage, motherhood, and artistic expression, marking another remarkable page in her continuously developing story.

In addition to Kiara, Shah Rukh Khan and Diljit Dosanjh also made their first appearance at the Met Gala this year. Joining them were Priyanka Chopra and Isha Ambani, who turned heads with their stunning outfits on the blue carpet.
