Jordanian Hospital Treats War Wounds From Across the Middle East

Shahd Tahrawi sustained injuries from an Israeli attack on Gaza, Hossam Abd al-Rahman endured severe burns due to an explosion in Iraq, and Mohammed Zakaria requires numerous operations after being hit by bombings in Yemen.

All of them gathered at the charitable Al-Mowasah Hospital in the Jordanian capital of Amman, a facility that cares for numerous civilians injured in various conflicts throughout the Middle East.

"When I observe my surroundings here, I become melancholic looking at 'individuals like myself, innocent and ordinary citizens,' whose lives have been marred by the atrocities of war," stated Abd al-Rahman, a 21-year-old Iraqi patient.
