Historic Warwick Neck Lighthouse Set to Spark Auction frenzy

WARWICK, R.I. (WPNI) — It has been revealed that the Warwick Neck Lighthouse will shortly go up for auction.

The General Services Administration has lately posted the historic lighthouse property for sale online .

The lighthouse, constructed in 1827, rises to a height of 51 feet and features a typical cast-iron lantern dome that encloses a contemporary light.

The 1.3-acre plot of land comes with a single-family home built in 1932. This house comprises three bedrooms along with a basement, separate garage, and storage shed.

The online description indicates that the lighthouse became automated in 1985 and is part of the state’s operational navigational aids, often referred to as AtoNs.

The precise date and time for the online auction have not been disclosed as of now.
