"You have people who unambiguously wave the flags of terrorist organizations, whether it's Hamas or Hezbollah, and who are chanting very proudly these openly antisemitic and anti-Western and anti-American slogans on a Western American, what's meant to be philosemitic campus, and that is not acceptable," he said. "And those are not just innocent protests – they're open calls for violence. The university should not be a space for endorsing such violence."

Harvard has countered the Trump administration by filing legal challenges to the president's orders.

A court has temporarily halted the Trump administration's decision to end Harvard's international student visa program following the university's filing of a lawsuit. The judge approved Harvard’s request for a temporary restraining order aimed at maintaining the current state until the legal proceedings conclude.

Harvard stated that this new policy will impact over 7,000 visa-holding students—almost one-fourth of their total student population—and termed it as a “clear infringement of the First Amendment, the Due Process Clause, and the Administrative Procedure Act,” according to the statement. its court filing .
