Giant Mermaid Tails: Exclusive Auction Set in the UK

The final chapter of The Great Tail Trail will conclude with an auction.

The exhibition showcasing large-scale mermaid tail installations has been taking place since Saturday, April 5 across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.

The tails crafted by artists including Stuart Semple and Liz Yelling will be auctioned off to the top bidders during The Great Tail Trail Grand Auction.

The auction is scheduled for Friday, June 20 at The Italian Villa, located within Compton Acres.

Over 40 of these specially crafted tails will be available.

There is a limit to the number of tickets available, and they must be reserved ahead of time.

Proceeds generated from the auction will be donated to Julia's House children's hospice.

Laura Maidment, who serves as the public fundraising manager for Julia's House, stated: "The funding could not be more crucial."

The funds gathered during the Grand Auction will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of essential care services in BCP.

That will also become a significant part of the bidders' heritage.

Not only are they acquiring an incredible work of art, but they're also supporting local children and families.

Should you be unable to make it in person, you can still take part in the bidding via the internet.

Julia's House has introduced a live stream along with an online auction platform, both of which are now operational.

The money collected will assist Julia's House in maintaining its care for severely ill children in Dorset and also offer assistance to their families.

Only eight percent of Julia's House funding comes from governmental sources, with the organisation largely depending on public backing and charitable contributions.

The Great Tail Trail is an important fund-raising initiative for the charitable organization.

The mermaid tails will remain on display across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole until Sunday, June 1.

They will subsequently be exhibited jointly for the final time during a goodbye weekend at the Bournemouth International Centre prior to being put up for auction.
