LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Following an overcast morning with intermittent rain, the clouds will disperse during the afternoon hours, enabling some sunlight to shine through. Scattered isolated showers and thunderstorms could still occur throughout the later part of the day.

Highs max out in the 70s today. Rain chances fade overnight as partly to mostly cloudy skies remain. It will be another cool night, with lows in the 50s. A mix of clouds and sun on Thursday morning gives way to cloudy skies tomorrow afternoon. While an isolated shower can’t be ruled out, most of our Thursday looks dry with highs near 80°.

On Thursday night through Friday morning, showers and thunderstorms will spread across the area. While some of these storms might be strong, significant severe weather is not expected. Lows are anticipated to drop into the 50s range.

Thunderstorms continue Friday morning before less widespread, spotty showers take hold for the rest of the day. It’ll be cooler with highs in the 60s for many. Summer-like weather returns next week; we’ll see highs in the 80s then.
