Cleveland Elementary Presents: Annual Spring Concert - Celebrating Young Talent!

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) -- At Cleveland Elementary School, students presented their yearly Spring Concert on May 15, highlighting the dedication and musical prowess of many talented young performers.
The event included performances by the school’s honor choir as well as the percussion and recorder ensembles.
Each of these groups required an audition and demonstrated the students' dedication and effort.
Students who did not advance through the auditions could still participate in the boys' and girls' choirs, all driven by their passion for music.
Music resonates with every individual," remarked Dr. Ella Snavely, principal at Cleveland Elementary School. "Regardless of whether one can simply clap to the beat, sing along, or watch as children enthusiastically play the drums and attempt to keep up, perhaps even practicing their recorders and moving their fingers accordingly. At times, it might be a familiar tune that engages them all since music connects universally.
The concert has taken place each spring for numerous years; however, this year was notable as it featured the inaugural performance of the Percussion Ensemble as part of the show.
