Bubble Popping Party Wagon: Get Active with the Kids During School Runs!

As part of Walk to School Week families have been encouraged to reach for their bubble wands and join a party procession on the morning commute to do their bit to reduce pollution and provide safer routes to school.
Across numerous primary schools in East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, such as The Mease Spencer Academy located in Hilton, hundreds of students opted out of using cars this week. Instead, they walked with enthusiasm, adding an element of enjoyment to their commute by participating in activities like bubble popping as they made their way to school.

Supported by the National Forest Adventure Farm, in Tatenhill, mascot Crumpet the Cow lead the event with his new bubble wagon bringing bubble fun to Burton streets to encourage children to get active on their way into school.

Party procession walking buses hit the streets around four schools - The Mease Spencer Academy, in Hilton, Outwoods Primary School, in Burton, William Shrewsbury Primary School, in Stretton, and Richard Wakefield Primary School, in Tutbury.
Richard Simcox, the CEO of Central Co-operative Learning Trust who oversees two of the primary schools, expressed his delight at seeing so many families joining forces to promote activity on their journey to school.

It was wonderful to witness numerous families opting to dedicate their time to back the campaign, which significantly helps by lessening traffic jams near our educational institutions and enhancing overall air quality for all.
The Government’s recent National Travel Survey shows that 40% of primary school pupils in the UK travel to school via a car. This traffic adds to congestion and pollution around school gates with around a quarter of schools located in highly polluted regions .
Ivor Robinson, He runs the National Forest Adventure Farm alongside his brother Tom, stated that the farm park was eager to back the local community initiative. It was delightful for them to witness the responses from people passing by and families as the Bubble Bonanza crew and Crumpet the Cow brought bubbly joy to the streets.
He stated: "Our enthusiasm has always revolved around assisting families in engaging with healthful, entertaining pursuits within rural areas. Taking our latest bubble wagon to motivate schoolchildren to walk to school appeared to be an ideal method for aiding families in becoming more physically active and relishing valuable moments together during their daily commute."
