Bessent: US Trading Partners Continue Good-Faith Negotiations Post Court Ruling

WASHINGTON (The News Pulse) — U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated on Thursday that America’s negotiating allies like Japan have remained committed to discussions with the United States in an honest manner. He added that their stance hasn’t shifted since a U.S. trade court overturned the tariff measures implemented under the Trump administration.
However, Bessent informed the Fox News Channel that trade discussions with China had encountered some delays, though he anticipated further meetings with Chinese authorities in the upcoming weeks.
The U.S. trading partners "are approaching us sincerely with the intention of finalizing the agreements before the 90-day suspension period concludes," according to Bessent. "We haven’t observed any shift in their stance over the last two days. Actually, I am expecting a significant Japanese group to visit me at my office early tomorrow morning."
