While Jeep fundamentally remains an American brand, its influence has significantly expanded outside the U.S. over recent years. By choosing Europe as the debut location for their latest model, Stellantis underscores its strategic focus on global markets to lessen dependence on the North American region. This next-gen Compass will first roll out across various European nations later this year prior to extending its reach to additional areas around the world.
Even with its evolutionarily styled external design, the new Compass It is a completely distinct model compared to its predecessor. This high-performance trim comes with a specially designed rear motor unique to Jeep, allowing this SUV to ascend a gradient as steep as twenty percent even under conditions where the front wheels lack traction.
The Jeep claims a top driving distance of 404 miles (650 kilometers) according to the WLTP test for the twin-engine all-wheel-drive version; however, it doesn’t specify the size of the battery. In contrast, we have data showing that the single-motor, front-wheel-drive configuration equipped with a 74.0-kilowatt-hour unit can travel up to 311 miles (500 kilometers) when fully charged.

When Will It Be Available for Purchase?
Jeep has begun accepting pre-orders for the updated Compass across Europe, offering a special First Edition model for a restricted period. Customers can expect deliveries starting from the final quarter of this year when manufacturing commences at their facility in Melfi, Italy. In another development, Jeep is phasing out diesel engines as they have opted not to offer the SUV with a conventional oil burner; these diesels previously accounted for more than half of sales within European markets during the initial years of the last decade.
