Zipline Play Area Approved in Expanding Wynyard Development
Approval has been granted for a new children’s playground as part of an expanding development project. Wynyard .
Submissions had been made beforehand. Hartlepool Borough Council planning department to provide an area of open space and children's play facilities on the site of a former farmhouse on the outskirts of Hartlepool. The site is located to the east of a residential development under construction by Duchy Homes.
The application from Wynyard Park Limited outlined how the land would provide a "high quality" children's play area "incorporating timber equipment and natural play elements." A report from council planning officers confirmed the application has now been approved, adding it will provide "an attractive and functional space which contributes positively to the wider Wynyard community."

A range of facilities will be provided to cater for different age groups from toddler to teenage, including swings, horizontal bars, a slide, seesaws and a short zipline. The development will also offer a covered picnic table and an area of public open space surrounding it.
