Young Woman Endures Terrifying Ordeal as Thugs Smash Windows of Her Stopped Car

A young woman who drives has been severely traumatized following two distinct incidents where criminals forced her vehicle to stop at shops and then broke her windows.
The 20-year-old woman was targeted in her vehicle in the Newry area on Thursday on two separate occasions near the Fiveways Roundabout.
The victim told police she was driving near the roundabout when she noted she was being followed by another car.
This vehicle then began to flash its headlights before swerving in front of the victim’s car forcing her to stop on the Tandragee Road.
A male exited the passenger side of the car and approached before smashing the passenger window of the woman’s car and attempting to remove items from the seat.
He subsequently escaped using the suspected vehicle, which was being operated by a different individual.
A few minutes later the suspect vehicle returned whilst the young woman was attempting to contact police at the roadside.
Once more they halted, and the driver got out and seized the victim, confiscating her mobile phone. Prior to both individuals speeding away towards Newry.
A representative from the PSNI stated: "This young woman has experienced a harrowing incident, and detectives at the Newry Criminal Investigation Department are presently providing her with the necessary assistance."
