Woman Arrested Following Fatal Stabbing in Redford
A female suspect was apprehended following a stabbing incident that occurred early Thursday in Redford, Michigan.
A 52-year-old man from Redford suffered a single stab wound to his chest, as stated by the Redford Township Police Department in a press release. He was rushed to a hospital but passed away soon after arrival.
The incident was reported around 12:15 a.m. on Thursday in the vicinity of Cathedral Street and Wormer Street in Redford.
A 47-year-old female has been named as the suspect, and authorities executed a search warrant at her residence in Eastpointe during the latter part of the day. She was apprehended peacefully.
Police stated that the stabbing occurred during a confrontation between the individuals involved, and they also noted that "the public is not facing any continuing danger."
The police intend to submit the case to the Wayne CountyProsecutor's office for evaluation.
