Williamsburg County Deputies Crack Down on Kingstree Homicide with Key Arrest
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — Authorities from the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Department have apprehended an individual suspected of involvement in a murder case.
Dontray Dale Eaddy Wright, 27, from Lake City, faces charges including murder and carrying a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Sheriffs arrived at the scene of a reported gunfire incident. On Cypress Avenue on April 13th.
When they arrived, they found a victim with gunshots in the street.
The Williamsburg County Emergency Medical Services responded to provide medical aid and subsequently took the injured person to a healthcare center. Nonetheless, as reported by the Williamsburg County Coroner’s Office, the individual succumbed due to their wounds.
Sheriffs conducted an inquiry into the event, which subsequently uncovered that the target of the shooting by Wright was found exterior to the premises where the act occurred. The reason for this incident remains undisclosed.
Wright was taken to the Williamsburg County Detention Center.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division along with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office helped Williamsburg deputies apprehend Wright.
