What We Already Know About the Eagles' 2025 NFL Draft Prospects

PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles' 2025 NFL Draft has concluded. Time will tell whether it will be looked back upon with appreciation, or mark the conclusion of a successful series of drafts under General Manager Howie Roseman. Naturally, it's far too premature to make definitive judgments or assign grades, although many will attempt to do so nonetheless.

Here’s what we know:

The Eagles went into the draft with eight selections but ultimately chose 10 players using various trades to move up, down, and across the draft board.

-Roseman made five trades, only one of them to go up the board and that was a one spot jump to get to No. 31 overall in the first round to ensure the player they wanted, Alabama linebacker Jihaad Campbell, was there.

The initial five selections made by the Eagles were all for defenders. Following this, they chose four consecutive offensive players before concluding their draft with an edge rusher named Antwuan Powell-Ryland from Virginia Tech.

- They selected two athletes from the University of Texas.

- They brought in an additional defensive player from Georgia, linebacker Smael Monden, Jr., and as a result, there are now eight former Bulldogs on the defense.

- They brought in two athletes with strong family ties to the NFL. The first one is Drew Kendall, whose father, Pete, played as a guard/center and was selected 21st overall by the Seattle Seahawks in 1996; he went on to start in 188 out of his total 89 NFL games. The second player introduced is offensive tackle Myles Hinton, son of Chris, who was chosen fourth overall by the Denver Broncos in 1983 and participated in seven Pro Bowl events during his career.

- They selected a quarterback, Kyle McCord who graduated from St. Joseph’s Prep, adding him to their list of four quarterbacks currently on the team.

-They selected defensive tackle Ty Robinson, who completed his pre-med degree at Nebraska, as part of their strategy.
