Trump Taps Conservative Icon Mark Levin for Homeland Security Advisory Role

President Trump has tapped another Fox News personality, Mark Levin, for a White House post.

Levin will serve on the "revamped" Homeland Security Advisory Council, led by Kristi Noem, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, Trump announced Thursday. In addition to Levin, members of the new committee are South Carolina Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, conservative commentator and former Fox News contributor Bo Dietl, and Republican National Committee treasurer Joseph Gruters.

“I am pleased to announce the establishment of my newly formed Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), made up of Leading Authorities in their respective fields, widely esteemed by their colleagues,” Trump stated in his address. post on his Truth Social platform. "Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem's leadership, HSAC will work hard on developing new Policies and Strategies that will help us secure our Border, deport Illegal Criminal Thugs, stop the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs that are killing our Citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!"

Levin, quoting Trump's post, wrote on X What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!

As reported by Fox News, Levin’s show “Life, Liberty & Levin,” airing Saturdays and Sundays at 8 PM Eastern Time, delves into the core values and principles foundational to American society, culture, politics, and contemporary issues, as well as how these elements impact the country’s trajectory and daily life for Americans. He initially became part of the network in 2017.

Levin serves as the host of one of the country’s three largest nationally distributed radio shows, titled "The Mark Levin Show." This program reaches over 300 broadcasting outlets across the nation. Additionally, his most recent publication is a book entitled "The Democrat Party Hates America," released under Simon & Schuster's Threshold Editions label in September 2023.

Levin was part of the Reagan administration and held the position of chief of staff for Attorney General Ed Meese. His roles included serving as an associate director of presidential personnel, deputy solicitor at the Department of Interior, and deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Education, amongst others.

Other ex-Fox personalities who have entered the Trump administration include Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy who had been a former host at Fox Business and was also part of MTV's "The Real World: Boston" crew in the late 1990s.
