Trump Spoils Melania with a Luxurious Air Force One Birthday Dinner

U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that his hectic schedule prevented him from purchasing a gift for First Lady Melania for her 55th birthday on Saturday, so he plans to compensate by giving her a luxurious dinner aboard Airforce One as a special treat.

The Trump family traveled to Rome on Friday for Pope Francis’s funeral. However, rather than staying on to enjoy meals at the city’s traditional trattorias, they are heading directly back to the United States.

The 78-year-old magnate acknowledged that this might not be everybody's preferred method for celebration.

"He mentioned she has a functioning birthday," Trump stated to journalists aboard the presidential aircraft as they were en route to their initial international journey following his reinstatement into office.

The GOP member mentioned that as he gets ready to observe the 100-day milestone of an intense start to his second term, focusing on negotiations about tariffs, Ukraine, Iran, and Gaza hasn’t left much room for anything else.

He mentioned, 'I haven't had the chance to purchase gifts yet; things have been quite hectic,'.

When queried about whether he planned to celebrate Melania’s birthday with a dinner, he responded: “I’m taking her out for dinner on the Boeing—I mean, on Air Force One.”

Trump jokingly said he would send his wife back into the "lion's den" to handle talking with reporters instead.

Donald and Melania Trump were earlier seen boarding Air Force One together at an air base just outside Washington, with the First Lady wearing a long tan trench coat and sunglasses.

Since Donald Trump assumed office, he and Melania have mostly lived apart, with Melania dividing much of her time between New York and Florida. Their 19-year-old son, Barron, has remained primarily in New York as he pursues his education at university.

However, they have shared some public outings, such as when they co-hosted the customary Easter egg roll at the White House on Monday.

The previous year, they celebrated the wife's birthday separately, with Melania staying in Florida whereas Donald was in New York attending a hearing related to payments made to silence adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump said at the time that “it’d be nice to be with her, but I’m at a courthouse for a rigged trial.”
