Trump Rages Against Fox News as His Approval Drops 11 Points Below Watermark

Donald Trump criticized Fox News today following their recent poll which indicated his job approval rating was down by 11 percentage points.

Even though Fox News features several congenial opinion showhosts, the president has criticized their polling practices. These surveys are conducted by two firms: Beacon Research, associated with Democrats, and Shaw & Company, linked to Republicans.

The poll results indicated that 44% approved of Trump’s handling of his job, while 55% disapproved. This aligns with several other poll outcomes in recent times, as the president approaches the 100-day milestone.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Rupert Murdoch has told me for years that he is going to get rid of his FoxNews, Trump Hating, Fake Pollster, but he has never done so. This ‘pollster’ has gotten me, and MAGA, wrong for years. Also, and while he's at it, he should start making changes at the China Loving Wall Street Journal. It sucks!!!”

A representative from Fox News did not promptly respond to requests for commentary.

The Journal, owned by the Murdochs’ News Corp., has run editorials critical of Trump, particularly when it comes to tariffs. Its news side also has produced a number of hard-hitting stories about the early months of Trump’s administration.

Trump did reveal that he was planning to meet with The Atlantic’s editor Jeffrey Goldberg, who was mistakenly added to the Signal group chat of top Trump national security officials in March. After the White House attacked Goldberg and claimed that what was shared in the chat was not classified, he published the text messages, showing that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted attack plans on the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

In his statement, Trump mentioned, "Today, later on, I'm scheduled to meet with none other than Jeffrey Goldberg, who runs The Atlantic magazine and has been behind numerous fictitious accounts involving me such as the fabricated 'HOAX' titled 'Suckers and Losers,' along with another concocted narrative known as SignalGate—though he had some success with that one. Accompanying Mr. Goldberg will be Michael Scherer and Ashley Parker; both aren’t particularly supportive of mine or anyone close’s viewpoints. They plan to pen an article named, 'The Most Crucial Presidency This Century.' My reason for participating in this discussion stems from sheer curiosity combined with a personal challenge—to find out whether The Atlantic possesses even a slight capacity for honesty when reporting about TRUMP. From where I stand, how terrible could anything get—I won!"
