Toddlers Crowned Global Champions in Wacky World Puddle Jumping Contest

The three young siblings from the same family have been declared co-winners of the World Puddle Jumping Championships.

Eli, who is 4 years old, along with his twin sisters, Maia and Neeve, who are both 3, from Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, have been declared champions after a video showcasing their muddy endeavors caught the attention of the judges.

Since 2013, Wicksteed Park in Kettering has organized an annual event where participants can submit videos of themselves leaping into any appropriate puddle.

Their mother, Hayley, stated: "My trio absolutely adores leaping into muddy pools. They frequently challenge each other to determine who can create the largest splashes. The messier, the more they enjoy it. Winning makes them ecstatic!"

Over the years, the contest has received thousands of submissions, with past victors hailing from various parts of the UK and even places as distant as Australia.

The judges allocate scores considering the height of the leap, the extent of the splash, the level of excitement displayed, and how much mud adheres to the participant, referred to as "mud retention."

Each winner was awarded a Wicky Bear plush toy (Wicksteed Park’s mascot) along with a family pass for a day at the amusement park.

The director of Wicksteed Park, Kelly Richardson, stated: "This is the first time we have had shared champions at the World Puddle Jumping Championships, yet Eli, Maia, and Neeve displayed remarkable excitement and created countless splashy moments making it impossible for us to pick just one winner; hence, each of them deserves this title equally."
