Spring Revive: Event Returns to Sioux City's Citizen’s Convenience Center
SIoux City, Iowa (KCAU)—With spring arriving, it’s time for some spring cleaning.
The city of Sioux City came forward to assist with that task on Saturday during their Spring Electronics Recycling Event.
The gathering occurred at the Citizens Convenience Center located on 28th Street, conveniently situated near Highway 75. This facility accepted various items for recycling, including electronics, batteries, and light bulbs.
The facility likewise accepted tires and mattresses.
It helps maintain cleanliness within our community and reduces costs for our residents when disposing of waste," explained Arah Montagne, who serves as the Environmental Services and Program Development Manager for the City of Sioux City. "By recycling, we're contributing positively; diverting materials from landfills and reducing incidents like landfill fires. Gill Hauling has consistently been an excellent partner for us, supporting these efforts, and we aim to reciprocate their support to minimize such fires and promote recycling.
The event takes place biannually, which means if you didn't make it this past Saturday, there'll be another opportunity during the final weekend of September.
