Snoop Dogg heads back to “The Voice”
The rapper's comeback is included as part of an overarching deal with NBCUniversal.

Snoop Dogg will make his grand return to The Voice in season 28, airing in the fall.
The rapper and mogul made his debut on the NBC singing competition, which features a rotating panel of coaches, in last year's season 26. He occupied one of the show's signature red chairs alongside Michael Bublé , Reba McEntire , and Gwen Stefani . But he sat out the season currently airing , and rookie coach Kelsea Ballerini , as well as veterans Bublé, John Legend , and Adam Levine , are placing the calls.
There's no word yet on who will take the other coaching spots. Previous casts have included Alicia Keys , Blake Shelton , Usher , Miley Cyrus , Ariana Grande , and more.

Beloate playfully told the camera that he would be akin to Snoop's "new Martha Stewart if she could sing," since their pairing seemed quite unusual.

Snoop praised him by stating, "The essence of music isn’t solely tied to its sound; it lies in the emotions it evokes."
Snoop Dogg’s comeback to the network's prime-time reality show is included in an extensive, several-years-long partnership between NBCUniversal and Snoop along with his Death Row Pictures production firm. This agreement will also encompass a biopic set to be developed by both the celebrity and Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer, according to statements made by Donna Langley, who leads entertainment and studio operations at NBCUniversal.

The Grammy-nominated artist, originally named Calvin Broadus, stated, "While not everybody dares to recognize the potential of Death Row Pictures, Donna along with the NBCUniversal group consistently grasped our vision. This is precisely why I am delighted to announce NBCUniversal as my newest base. The Dogg has formally joined this community, you know what I'm saying?"
The current season of The Voice wraps up in May.
