Simone Biles Opens Up About Her Husband's Costliest Wedding Blunder
Simone Biles' career in gymnastics revolves around accuracy. Even the tiniest mistake can mean the distinction between claiming gold or silver, or ultimately triumphing over defeat.
Biles has build a career on being one of the most technically sound gymnasts of all time, and she appeared to be on her way to more successful planning before her husband - Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens- made a mistake at their wedding.
"They weren't wearing the correct colors I told them to, but it worked out," Biles mentioned at the Time 100 Gala last week. Regarding Owens and his groomsmen, as reported by E!
“Of course,” Biles replied when questioned about whether she tried to address or resolve the issue on her own. “Every time we were off to the side, I would say ‘What are they wearing?’”
Biles stated that spectators should not "fault" her spouse for the incident at their wedding. It doesn’t appear to have impacted their relationship, as they remain blissfully married two years following the supposed occurrence during the ceremony.
After playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, and Green Bay Packers, Owens concluded his initial year with the Chicago Bears in 2024. He managed to deflect two passes and recover two fumbles during the season, notably recovering one from a blocked punt right at the start of the campaign.
Biles secured additional gold medals with Team USA in Paris during the previous summer, which might have been her last Olympic Games. Should she decide not to compete in Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympics on home turf, she will remain one of the most decorated athletes across all Olympic sports, placing herself alongside legends such as Michael Phelps.

Biles often goes to Bears games to cheer for Owens, and the team permitted him to miss the initial part of camp so he could travel to France to watch Biles compete alongside the rest of the U.S. gymnastics squad.
For Biles and Owens, the upcoming event will be the yearly Met Gala. According to Biles, they have discussed their attire with each other this time and emphasized the importance of coordinating their looks.
"She mentioned that it was crucial for their glances to remain somewhat aligned with each other," he stated.
The Met Gala this year is scheduled for May 5 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
