Search underway for domestic violence suspect with ‘vicious’ dog

LYON COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) - Authorities are currently searching for a suspect involved in a domestic violence incident in Lyon County, Kentucky, early Friday morning on April 25.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies along with state troopers are currently looking for the suspect who fled from them near KY 293 off Interstate 24.

He was last spotted heading west on the eastbound entrance ramp to I-24.

This is located north of Eden Bay.

The car in which the suspect was traveling as a passenger allegedly fled the area as well.

The sheriff’s department mentioned that they are unaware of the identity of the suspect; however, they stated that the individual is accompanied by a "ferocious" mixed breed dog, which is brown and tan in color. The animal reportedly assaulted one of the deputies when law enforcement confronted the suspect.

The individual being sought is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, sporting long brown hair tied back in a ponytail at the time of observation. They were also noted for wearing a green short-sleeve top paired with an unadorned leather vest and blue denim pants.

Sheriffs and officers are looking for the suspect using a drone, as well as in vehicles and on foot.

If anyone spots this individual, they should avoid approaching him and immediately contact 911.
