Russian Army Revamps Tactics: Motorcycles Deployed in Ukraine Warfare

The Russian military intends to deploy motorcycles in their combat activities within Ukraine, according to the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). These vehicles could be seen on the battlefield as soon as this summer and fall.

On Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense published video clips demonstrating members of the 299th Airborne Regiment within the 98th Airborne Division training in motorcycle-based offensive and defensive maneuvers.

These activities take place in groups consisting of two or three individuals at a Russian training facility. According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russians might be considering equipping units battling in Ukraine with motorcycles as well.

Lt. Col. Pavlo Shamshyn, who serves as a spokesperson for the Ukrainian forces in Kharkiv, stated that Ukrainian intelligence has noticed Russian troops undergoing instruction in motorcycle warfare techniques.
