Russia Detains Suspect Behind Deadly Car Blast That Killed Top General

The Russian Federal Security Service has announced the detention of an individual suspected in the assassination of Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moscalik, a high-ranking Russian military official killed in a vehicle explosion on Friday. They claim this person is a Ukrainian agent.
"He was identified as Ignat Kuzin, a Ukrainian special services operative born in 1983, who holds residency rights in Ukraine," stated Svetlana Petrenko, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee.
"The investigators from the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee are currently working with the suspect, gathering evidence and establishing the details of the crime," she further stated.
Moskalik served as the deputy chief of the primary operations division within the Russian army's General Staff. He passed away following an incident involving a Volkswagen Golf. exploded In a neighborhood within Balashikha, located just beyond Moscow’s limits.
The Ukrainian authorities refrained from commenting on the assault.
This occurs following Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov passed away in December of last year due to an explosion near his apartment building when a concealed explosive device attached to an electric scooter was triggered remotely.
