On Friday morning, the Dayton Police went to a Shell gas station on Smithville Road after receiving a panic alarm. They subsequently arrested three individuals for an armed aggravated robbery, as stated in a police incident report acquired by News Center 7.
Within less than two miles from the Shell gas station, two additional gas stations were also robbed with guns in the past seven days.

A gas station on Woodman Drive fell victim to robbery not long after a similar incident occurred at a gas station on Linden Avenue.
As was previously covered by News Center 7 , the Riverside Police Department was alerted to an alleged robbery on Woodman Drive just after midnight on Wednesday.
Riverside Police are still looking for the two juvenile suspects they believe took an unknown amount of money from the gas station.
Riverside resident Zachary Kennedy said he lives near the gas station that was robbed on Linden Avenue a week ago .
“I know just about everyone in there. So, this kind of hit home a little bit, especially living around the corner. Every time I go in, they’re always polite. I mean, we have conversations. I bring my kids up here and they’ll give them suckers and things like that,” Kennedy said.
Dayton resident Matt Davis works in the area and said he believes economic challenges are the reason for the multiple robberies.
“People are going to do whatever they need to just to get a buck around here. A lot of people need help and don’t have a lot. So, I think that’s why they probably do it,” Davis said.
It remains unclear if the three people arrested are also suspected in the other robberies.
