MPD: Elderly Man Fatally Shot During Home Invasion in Milwaukee

The Milwaukee police department is looking into a fatal home intrusion that resulted in the death of a 70-year-old man shortly after midnight on Friday.

The incident happened around 12:10 a.m. near N. 8th Street and W. Galena Street in the city's Hillside Neighborhood. Investigators say the victim was beaten and pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, this incident involved a targeted assault, and they recognize the suspect. As of now, no arrests have been reported.
